GREEN OFFICE – PANAMA
There are far more efficient construction alternatives, which allow reducing the environmental impact from conventional construction.
The Project we feature next, named Green Office, show us exactly that, thus becoming a reference in sustainable construction.
In order to build a structure within the sustainable construction principles, organizers implement a series of programs, products and last generation technology.
The Green Office has a raised floor in recycled plastic, carpet fibre finish which is also recycled, plastic wood deck, with wool recycled PET bottle panel, which allows thermal insulation and recycled tire blanket, for soundproofing. The building has LED lamps, light tubes with prisms to spread natural lighting for the environment, reforestation certified timber furniture, landscaping with native plants and drainage areas, solar panels and even a mini wind-turbine.
A sustainable roof was deployed, consisting of a system of modules in EVA, polymer used in soles of recycled shoes, which comes along with a substrate for vegetation. This layer of vegetation on the cover reduces the energy exchange between the interior and exterior, bringing more thermal comfort.
